Feral horse rehoming request form

  • Horses will be offered to rehomers when their application to be registered as a rehomer has been approved and there are horses available.
  • Registered rehomers will be required to pay a $100 application fee per horse requested. This fee is due when NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service notifies rehomers that their application to become a rehomer has been approved.
  • If you receive horses through the program, you will be required to complete an annual program return for all horses received for the previous financial year in accordance with the guidelines.
  • To minimise transport times, in the first instance, preference will be provided to registered rehomers whose approved rehoming address is within the Hunter region.

However, the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service will not meet requests for certain colours, physical appearance, temperament, source location or size of horses.
