The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (the department) takes complaints and feedback regarding quality of work and conduct of assessors seriously. Complaints and feedback are managed in accordance with the Accredited Assessors Complaints and Feedback Management Policy.

Before lodging this complaint or feedback form, we recommend you read the policy to understand which complaints and feedback can be investigated and managed using this process.

When you lodge a complaint or provide feedback, keep in mind that you must:

provide complete and factually correct information
be polite and respectful
not include false or misleading information
not lodge frivolous, vexatious or malicious complaints
ensure the complaint/feedback is related to an assessment, activity or conduct under the Biodiversity Offsets Scheme.

We encourage all parties involved to resolve any issues associated with an individual assessment in the first instance. For example, if your feedback is about the content of a Biodiversity Development Assessment Report did you provide the assessor with a review and provide them with the opportunity to address your comments? Please provide any written correspondence or reports to demonstrate the remaining issues.
